Not reaching the minimum amount of players
Top 20, Top 10, or Top 5 players for not downgrading a tournament is based on 2017 for tournaments taking place in the 1st semester of 2018, and based on 1st semester of 2018 for tournaments taking place in the 2nd semester of 2018.
Verification
Tournament Points will be granted based on the number of players who finalised all the rounds. Golf-Tab Representatives and members of the FIFG World Tour Committee can request a pictures, photos taken with a mobile device or photocopies of all the the scorecards, to verify the number of players at anytime. It is the organiser's responsibility to keep them on record until the end of the season to prove who finalised all the rounds on the tournament.
Tie Breaker
In the case of a tie in the 1st place, there must be a playoff between all tied players to determine the tournament champion. The election of the hole(s) to be played is subject to the organiser’s criteria.
For Majors and FIFG-500’s tournaments the playoff competition will be on 3 holes. If the tie continues after 3 Holes, there will be a “blind approach” and the player who gets the ball closest to the hole is the winner.
For FIFG-250, FIFG-100 and FIFG-50 tournaments the playoff will be decided after 1 hole (although each organiser may decide to extend it up to 3 holes). If the tie continues after the playoff, there will be a “blind approach” and the one that put the ball closest to the hole is the winner.
This system will apply to define the Champion of each tournament only.
For the 3rd place and following positions, tied players will get the same points, based on the 95% rule. If for any reason (climate conditions, lack of sunlight, safety, etc.) the organiser and marshals understand the playoff system could not take place, the 1st position will be decided by the last 18 holes for a 36-54 hole or more tournaments, or by the back 9 for 18-hole tournaments. If continues tied the front 9 holes will count and then selected holes may be taken into account.
Organisers should send a report 48 hours after the event explaining the reasons for not making the playoffs.
Bad Weather
If weather conditions force the organiser to suspend the tournament, full points will still be allocated and the result based on the number of completed rounds if the total number of holes played is at least 50% of the total number of holes.
Retrospective Penalty
If any player is penalised after the tournament is over, the leaderboard will be updated and any prize money or award must be returned to the organiser, to be re-allocated to the corresponding players.
Player Conduct
Players are expected to play in the spirit of the game by acting with integrity, showing consideration to others and taking good care of the course. The organisers and head marshal have authority to disqualify a player for any serious misconduct that is contrary to the spirit of the game and in accordance with FIFG or local tournament rules.
