The first FIFG 1000 tournament of the year will be in the United States this spring. From May 23rd to 26th, the best players of the world will compete on a new course in Florida.
“Having the Major again means a lot for us and we are very proud, but next year we will support any other country in the continent who would like to organize the Major in 2020. We believe it would be nice to see the biggest tournaments rotating around the world and each country should be able to organize one someday.” said Laura Balestrini, President of the American FootGolf League.
The course will be new for everyone.
“While we have organized tournaments for four years on the Watson Course here, this will be the first on the Arnold Palmer Course and nobody will play that course until the practice day.”
The cash purse is $12,500 and men’s category will be paid up to the
tenth position while team, senior and women categories will be paid to the third
“All the afternoons and the evenings are open because many people are coming with their families to enjoy Walt Disney World and what the Orlando area can offer. Actually, on Monday May 27th, we will play an FIFG 100 in Walt Disney World Golf.” Laura Balestrini added about the side events.
