Here comes the eighth round of the European FootGolf Trophy Tour (EFTT). In the top ten there are players from seven nations. The Belgian stop can be an important one.
There is the half time in the European FootGolf Trophy Tour. There will be the eighth stage of the tournament this weekend in Belgium. The Open Golf & Country Club in Henri-Chapelle is situated on the frontier of Germany, The Netherlands and of course Belgium. They have two 18-hole courses and a 9-hole one. Pascal Daelman, the president of the Belgium federation explained, how will they organize this weekend’s event. “Last year we’ve played on the 9-hole course, while this year we put 18 holes on the 9-hole course. They are very happy with FootGolf in Henri-Chapelle and I hope that we can expand FootGolf together with them.” A long run comes to the end, because from the end of May there were EFTT-stages in every weekend. Now, there will be a short break until the last weekend of July, so it is a big chance for the players to earn more points at half time. “Concerning the amount of players, there will be approximately sixty players who will attend the Belgian Open. Players from Argentina, Hungary, The Netherlands, England and Germany will be here.” Pascal Daelman hopes, his national team can show their potential in January, in the next World Cup. “We are still not on the top, but we are growing, because our group is expanding and we are training at least once a month. So, hopefully in a couple of years we will reach the top of FootGolf.” You can find the results HERE.
