After a tiring weekend in Germany, Kevin Racine (SUI) won the 10th stage of the European FootGolf Trophy Tour (EFTT) at Golf-Club Homburg Saar Websweiler Hof next to Homburg. Footgolfers from the UK had a fantastic weekend.

Kevin Racine have played only twice in this year’s continental competition, and got one point on each weekend. After that, no one could pretend, he will be the winner with this big advantage. “That was only my third EFTT-stage this year. I play FootGolf for fun, to have great friends, but I have reached the podium last year at home, but this feeling is amazing now. It is quite a surprise for me as well. I had a great first round. After that I had a chance to get a good result for my national team. ”

The winner admitted he was so tired after the two-day long competition after playing par -16, won by seven at the end completed the 18-hole course four times. But first of all not phisically, rather than mentally. “To be concentrated all the time was hard.”

When the last holes were coming, he just tried to focus on his game. “I do not like to play under pressure as a leader. I asked the others not to show me the online scores. I knew, I was leading, but I did not want to count the other’s results, just mine. It has worked.”

Five UK-players followed Racine in the final ranking. Graham Cockling finished with -9 and got the 2nd place. “It was a difficult course, but I tried to carry on after each hole, and did not look back. We have a very strong team with unbelievable talents.”

Clinton Moore felt, it was a fantastic weekend by grabbing the bronze medal. “I am very pleased with this result. I am one of the top players in Europe and at home, so I hope I can get sponsors to be better and better, and win more and more trophies.”

Julian Kelkel is in the elite of this year’s tour, but he finished in the 20th place at his home field. “I am not disappointed, because I was organizing all the weekend. I can not explain how tired I am, but it was a successful weekend for us by welcoming more than one hundred players.”
