![]() There were seven home players in the top ten last weekend. The winner of the last stage in the US Pro-Am FootGolf Tour 2015 was Arturo Barragan in Sacramento, who could have handled the pressure well. He won the tournament by two kicks. We asked the winner, tell us, what is the key to win a tournament like this. “I don't believe there is a secret formula to win. In my case, course knowledge and minimalizing my mistakes was the key. I also handled high pressure situations pretty well. But it does not mean it was easy, during the about 3700 yards, you had to handle two or three different cuts off grass. It was a great challenge and really pleased to have been able to come out on top.” He underlined, 2015 is a great year for FootGolf. The Pro-Am tournaments ran by the AFGL have been great. “It's a fantastic platform to truly find the best players in the USA, in combination with the best players in the world. Truly honored and proud to be mentioned and to be a champion. I am looking forward to 2016 FootGolf Tour.” Arturo Barragan has already won a quota for the World Cup. “When I signed up to play in the Pro-Am Tour, my first goal was to qualify for the World Cup team, which I accomplished on the first stop of the tour. The following goal was to win a single tour event. Now, I am preparing mentally and physically to win the World Cup for the USA.” Before that, there will be a US National Championship in October in Chicago. The next international tournamement will be hold by the UK at the end of August.
