FIFG Awarded GAISF Observer StatusFederation for International FootGolf (FIFG) is very proud to announce we have been awarded GAISF Observer Status. On 2 October 2017, the Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF) announced 7 out of the 15 organisations who officially requested the observer status have been granted the distinction. This a very important step in the development of our sport. In its communication, GAISF remarks: “Observer Status allows new, young International Federations to take advantage of the GAISF network to grow and develop. “ “The Observer status has been designed as a first step in a clear pathway towards full GAISF membership. Observers will be accompanied by GAISF in their development towards fulfilment of all criteria required for membership, such as preparing them for becoming WADA compliant, assisting them in increasing their members in various countries across the globe and receiving the required recognitions by National Olympic Committees or by the highest national sports authorities.” FIFG would like to thank GAISF for the help during the application process and for giving us the opportunity to collaborate towards achieving full GAISF membership. This process will require strong commitment from all FIFG member countries and close collaboration with the FIFG Board and GAISF. We are very excited to be taking the next steps to becoming GAISF full members. ![]() ABOUT GAISFGlobal Association of International Sports Federations - previously SportAccord, is the umbrella organisation for all (Olympic and Non-olympic) international sports federations as well as organisers of multi-sports games and sport-related international associations.
