“I have jetlag, and I am not happy with my performance in the last week. But we can learn a lot from that professional organization” - said Lasse Eriksen, the president of the Norwegian federation, who attended the US Pro-Am Tour 2015 East Coast Series. From Friday to Sunday Oslo will host great footgolfers from Europe. The president added, the cup is going to be placed on two different courses. “Lommedalen and Nordhaug golf courses will be the home of FootGolf for this weekend. We have great facilities, that’s why we are sharing the tournament between the two courses. I think, it will bring fresh air for the sport, because it has never done before. The location is ideal, because it is twenty minutes far from the city. It has a nice landscape among the mountains and hills. Every hole’s positions are different and exciting.” Lasse Eriksen admitted, it is not easy to invite the players to Norway for this weekend. “There is the French stage also, and they have better weather conditions. It is spring here now. It can be 20-25 degrees, but it is possible to have 10-15 degrees this weekend. Also it is not as expensive as the biggest capital cities in the world.” The Norwegian president talked about their National Team. “It is an important weekend for us. This cup is qualifying for the World Cup. We have talented young players, who have come to the courses, and have beaten us, so I hope, we can achieve great results in Oslo. The registration is not closed yet, but there will be about 60-70 players from countries like Italy, UK, Spain, Holland, Switzerland and Hungary.” European FootGolf Trophy Tour 2015 29th–31th May – Lommedalen and Nordhaug golf courses, Norway 29th–31th May – Golf Parc Robert Hersant, France

The former French internationals, Olivier Dacourt (Roma, Internazionale) Frédéric Déhu (PSG, OM, C Barcelona) and Reynald Pedros (OM, Lyon, Napoli, Parma) are going to compete against the best footgolfers. The French president suggested, that we could focus on David Hamed, who has just started to play FootGolf this year, and reached three podiums on three appearances. Romuald Pretot added, his country”s situation is not easy in some ways: “Seven strong players from our national team will miss the cup for personal reasons, but I hope some of the others can reach the top ten. The federation in Poland was founded at the end of 2014. FootGolf Poland has big plans. Roman Fedorczuk says: they can built on the five million footballers. Interview with the Polish president.
After founding the federation in Poland, what is the situation now? We have one golf course, we can use for playing FootGolf. Postolowo Golf & Country Club is one of the oldest Polish golf courses and most spectacular, rated best in Poland in 2014 and on the list of 100 best courses in Europe. It is in the area of Gdansk, on the Baltic coast. Not only local players use the course, we have had visitors from London and Scandinavia, also members of Polish national football team have been playing FootGolf at Postolowo. First Warsaw Golf & Country Club is building a nine-hole course (in addition to the exisiting 18 holes) and FootGolf will be there, sometime this year. Here, in Warsaw, we will start national marketing and promotion. Is it hard to promote this new sport? The first step is to get more courses to accept us as a new sport. We are leaders in golf promotion in Poland, but introducing new sport is not an easy task. It is developing slowly. FootGolf can help to multiply the number of participants in the golf houses. There are 3000-5000 golfers in Poland. It is a very low number considering that golf was introduced to Poland in 1990. With FootGolf we can easily double that number within three years. Polish golf owners are afraid of that golfers will not accept FootGolfers. Aproximately five million people know how to play football in my country, it is a huge base for our sport. Think about it, if just one percent of them will play FootGolf… What are the plans? We have a FootGolf league including approximately eighty people. First national FootGolf championship will take place in July, and in September we are going to hold Polish FootGolf Open Championship, hopefully with many international player. We are also getting ready for the World Cup, but it is expensive for individuals to participate from Poland, so we are looking for Polish football players in USA. There is a huge Polish community and I hope I can convince them to play under the Polish flag. But there is also polish community in Argentina so the chances are good to have a Polish Team there. Eleven Argentinian finished in the best 20 on the first stage of the US Pro-Am FootGolf Tour 2015 in Miami. On the Melreese Country Club Christian Otero was unbeatable. It was not easy at all, but I think it was one of the best days, since I have been playing footgolf.”’ His eleven countrymen finished in the top 20, while Nicolas Garcia and Sebastian Pelliccioni finished 2nd and 3rd. “I am proud that Argentina is showing in every international tournament that we have many of the best players in the world.
